Working towards final draft

I fixed my grammatical eras as well as my punctiations I also have done a lot of work on my APA formating. I went to a tutor and had them revise my paper before I hand it in. Before i hand it in i am confident that I have done well on this project.

Getting back first draft

I got back my first draft and as i expected i had alot of work to do in order to get my final product to where it needed to be. I spent a lot of time in the writing center working with Caherine Burns on my paper some of the thing i was told i needed to improve on included my APA formating, and my spelling and grammar. I think that once  got done going to Catherine my paper seemed easier to do.

I handed in my first draft of my final paper. I used my outline as a refrence for most of the paper but I found that by folling my outline i didnt have anywhere close to 8 pages so i had to create another outline that gave me more topics to talk about within my paper some of the topics i added were stess effects on college athletes' academics and injuries effects on college athletes' academics. I feel like my first draft was a good tool to get me started on my final draft.

Outline

I have been working on an outline for my final project. I feel like the outline will help me when it comes to writing my paper I am confident that this outline is a good piece to work off in the process of writing my final project. The outline has made me confident that I can write 10 pages.

Working towards final project

In class we have been going over what is expected for our final project I am very worried about the length of the project. This is the longest paper I have had to do this year and it takes me a while to write I am worried my paper will not be done on time I am planning on going to the writing center for a lot of help to make this project easy for me.

Interview report 2

I have successfully finished writing my interview report. This project has come a lot easier to me than other projects; in fact I have really enjoyed working on this project. I went to the writing center multiple times to help me with the organization of this project I feel like it helped a lot and I am confident with this project.

Interview report

Last week I worked a lot on my interview report I had to analyze the interview information I got from Dr. DeCiccio about college athletics effects on college academics. It didn’t take me very long at all to recognize the constant themes in what Dr. DeCiccio was thinking. I really have enjoyed this part of the project this far I have gained a lot of information that is not possible to gain online or through books, and I hope to use this information to strengthen my paper.

Typing up data

I have just got done typing up all of my interview questions and answers from my March 16th interview with Al DeCiccio. I have overlooked all his answers and my questions to ensure myself that I understand his answers, and the questions I asked were the questions I intended to ask. I plan on visiting Al tomorrow to be sure that all of what I said he said is true. and I will ask him if he has any additional information for me. I am very grateful that Al answered my question and set up a meeting without much notice.

Interview with the provost

On Wednesday March 16th I interviewed Al DeCiccio the provost at Southern Vermont College. I asked him if he would mind if i recorded the interview and he insisted I did . I feel like I got a lot of strong information out of the questions that I asked. I felt like my questions were very strong and his answers were very clear. In fact he commented me on how good my questions were. I am confident that this interview will help me a lot.

instrument workshop

I found the instrument workshop to be very beneficial it helped me answer some questions that I didn't really think about before. I have chosen ten interview questions and i have begun setting up interview times.

Annotated bibliography 3

After makeing my corrections and adding a title page I entered my final draft of the annotated bibliography i was missing a research evaluation worksheet from my folder which brought my grade down. I need to work on being more organized so that things like that do not affect my grade.

Annotated bibliography 2

 After getting my first draft of my annotated bibliography back I realized I had a lot of corrections to do in order to make it final draft quality. I made a lot of grammatical eras I also didn’t include a cover page or a header on each page. I need to use the writing center more often and tutors in order to do better on upcoming projects.

interviewing

I am very excited to set up my interviews this coming week. I plan on interviewing coaches, professors, the Provost, and the president of southern Vermont College. By doing this I hope to get more of a first person perspective of how these people feel about athletics affects on academics. I plan to do these interviews in person and record the meeting. I then plan on typing up the answers and organizing everything. I believe that by interviewing I will get most of my information. I chose to interview people at SVC because it will be easy for me to follow up after interviewing and if I have questions I can go to the person and ask them.

Annotated bibliography

This week i put a lot of work into creating my Annotated Bibliography i had some trouble in the beginning because I wasn't completely sure what I was suppose to do. After talking to some of my class mates and going to a tutor for help it became clear and from there on it has been easy.

Writing my proposal

Writing my propasal was easy after I understood what I was suppose to be writing at first I thought I was suppose to write my first draft of research paper. The only issue I had was my timeline . 

Research topic

I decided to write about the effects college athletics have on college academics. I chose this topic because I am a college athlete myself , and alot of people around campus talk about college athletics and the effects on students grades.
